Izzard’s Spirit of Independence

Comic and actor Eddie Izzard will be the host at the 25^th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards. The ceremony is to air live on the Independent Film Channel on March 5.

Commenting on Izzard’s choice as host, Film Independent's Dawn Hudson said: "The Spirit Awards are known for celebrating filmmakers who can challenge audiences with their original storytelling and art, and the same applies to Eddie.”

Izzard can next be seen in the film Richard Levine’s marital drama, Every Day, and then in Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story, a documentary about his life and career.
