Rip Torn charged

Actor Rip Torn, best known for his roles in The Men In Black and as the fiercely protective producer Artie in The Larry Sanders Show, has pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal trespass, burglary and firearms offences.They’re all related to his arrest for breaking into a bank in Connecticut while carrying a gun. Torn was released from an alcohol rehab clinic in New York on Monday, a court in Litchfield, Connecticut heard. He was allowed to remain free on bail, provided he stays away from alcohol. He’ll be back in court on April 27. Torn was allegedly so intoxicated on the night of the incident he believed he was at his home when in fact he was inside the Litchfield Bancorp bank with a loaded revolver.
