Jason hints at Horses return

David Jason has said that he thinks that the classic Only Fools And Horses sitcom could make a comeback. The actor who played the infamous Del Boy Trotter character told The Mirror newspaper that he: “Wouldn’t rule it out, it depends on John Sullivan, the writer. If he feels he can come up with new storylines then it could happen."

The ever-popular sitcom finally called it quits in 1996 when Del and Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) became millionaires, then overplayed its hand with three Christmas specials that saw the pair lose everything again. Despite a critical mauling, a third of the nation tuned in on Christmas Day 2001 to see the pair’s return. While the poorly received spin-off, the Boycie-based sitcom The Green, Green Grass was eventually axed, the Rock & Chips special, which looked at the childhood years of Del, Trigger, Boycie and Denzil was widely praised and has reignited interest in the franchise.
