Gavin and Stacey go Gold

The second series of the award winning sitcom, Gavin and Stacey begins on the G.O.L.D. network tonight. The show, which takes the disparate Essex boy and Welsh girl, sees the newly married couple ensconced in Essex, much to a homesick Stacey’s chagrin. As well as the regular cast that includes Rob Brydon, James Corden, Ruth Jones (as un happy parents to be be Nessa and Smithy) and Alison Steadman, the second series also sees special guest appearances from Julia Davis and Sheridan Smith. The show finally ended on New Years Day 2010, though there are currently plans for a new version to be made and aired on the ABC network in the US.
